EVERY WORD WE WRITE IS PANACEA Part 2
The second iteration of “EVERY WORD WE WRITE IS PANACEA”
The second version of this work was commissioned by the Q+ project as a residency installation for Bendigo Pride 2021.
The first iteration of this project was commissioned by Midsumma and Australia Post for Carnival Day in 2018.
Participants were invited to sit, contemplate a short letter of affirmation or support to their younger queer selves and then symbolically peg the letter up inside the Q+ hub container to contribute to the growing tapestry of letters and messages of positivity and love.
Included inside the container were also short, anonymous audio stories collected from contributions and submissions from around Australia of queer stories, ranging from coming out to sexuality, fascination with glamour queer idols, and all kinds of specific, nuanced queer anecdotes.
