“So Far” Opening

We attended the opening night and special announcement of TenCubed Collective's "So Far..." exhibition on Saturday evening. What an incredible event! An amazing vodka and cocktail bar was set up like an installation in the centre of the gallery, and an amazing nitrogen ice-cream parlour! Insane! So if you don't know about TenCubed; "Ten Cubed is an art experiment. Over ten years, we will collect in depth from an evolving top ten contemporary artists working in various media forms: sculpture, painting, video art, photography and more. Sometimes controversial, but always thought-provoking, these artists will be chosen for the aesthetic appeal and collectability of their works, and for their commitment to regular art production. This will be a rare opportunity to follow a hand-picked stable of emerging and established artists, represented by Australian and New Zealand galleries, as their works develop. Entry to Ten Cubed is Free." Amazing. So, the big announcement was that Ten Cubed is not stopping - they are opening another space which isn't limited to Australian and New Zealand works - there is no geographical limitations. It really is pretty awesome. We had a great time.
