12 January 2015 Comment
FRONT GALLERY : : SOMATTOTYPE by Matto Lucas
In an attempt to reconcile the intangible currencies associated with both the spaces of "The Gallery" and "The Gym", Matto Lucas continues his exploration of the transformative and perishable aspects of the human body in relation to queer male body value systems.

BACK GALLERY : : ETIAM by David Lee Pereira
An exploration into a moment, David Lee Pereira has presented a collection of oil paintings visually encapsulating a body of emotions as a reaction of a single moment in time. Etiam, from latin meaning still is a story expressing themes of sexuality and the fragility of life, and death. Phosphenes representing the energy created when a moment in your life is shared with another, and the emptiness felt with loss.
"I welcome you, to share this moment with me."

UPSTAIRS GALLERY : : THE GREAT PRETENDER by Sarah Louise Brownlow
‘The Great Pretender’ is an exploration of the transformative nature of the mask, and of the act of concealing and revealing your true identity. The images communicate the notion that if no one recognizes who or what you are, you represent something entirely other; something that is without a past, a present or a future. The work suggests the loneliness and isolation that the wearer experiences as a result of these voids.
