Spectrum
When we came into this world, we had no religious/racial/ethical/political or prejudiced views. We were almost as clean as white paper. We were a blank canvas ready to be painted with certain colours. Along the way we get coloured in by life experiences. The colours are everything we learn, see, know, experience in life… They are everything one collects on our journey that stay with us.
In this exhibition, the talented artists will show the audience their artistic responses to the notion of “Spectrum” in its many different forms and contradictions. The types of artworks range from painting to costume, video to photography and more—altogether creating a spectrum of practice and a fine art spectacle. Exhibiting artists are critically acclaimed and have had their works shown internationally, in places including New York, Tokyo, Sydney, Rome and Mexico City.
Four intriguing performances will kick off the opening. In these performances, artists will use a spectrum of colours, sculptural physicality or body movements to explore constructs like sexuality, intrigue, desires and life.
