DRINKING WITH THE ARTIST SEASON 2 EPISODE 5: LON GALERY WITH ADAM STONE

Comment

In Episode 5 your hosts find themselves in the charming company of an ambitious young gallerist; Adam Stone, and his canine companion Toby, at Lon Gallery. The conversation starts out as the three recall a troubled period in any creative’s life - the days right after art school. Adam shares the experience of forging his own path in Melbourne’s art world, via residencies in New York and Beijing. The trio go completely off road as they compare the world of commercial galleries, punk boutique art fairs, and BMX bike riding. Elizaveta remembers her sweet 16th birthday party and Matto has flashbacks to getting drunk with a queer arts mentor back in his youth. *In this episode, we cover a couple of galleries that aren’t open anymore, so we share their history via our show notes with links below.
